I remember one of my first fibre projects, a pale blue mohair cardigan knit with my grandmother. The sweater, basically unwearable, was a joint project I kept in the back of my drawer for years. My grandmother, a wonderful knitter with a meticulous gauge, knit the back and sleeves while I knit the front sections. Not surprisingly, the front section hand down to my knees in a loose messy knit.
My sisters and I were lucky to be surrounded by a family of accomplished knitters and sewers (even my father has completed a knit turtle). We grew up wearing matching
Over the years, in addition to becoming a better knitter (slightly better), I explored other fibre techniques.
